About the Role & Hiring Manager

I joined Zenity because I started as an SDR and when the chance came to lead a BDR team at the first company purpose-built to secure AI agents, it was an easy yes. This role plays a critical part in our next phase of growth. You will own top of funnel pipeline generation for your assigned AEs, directly influencing how large enterprises first engage with AI agent security and with Zenity.

What You’ll Do

  • Own outbound pipeline generation for your assigned AEs. You will be one of the first people a senior security buyer speaks with at Zenity. That first interaction matters and you treat it that way.
  • Handle inbound the right way. MQLs, webinar attendees, content leads, partner-sourced contacts. You will not just pass them along. You will research, qualify, and work with your AE to figure out how to go deeper into the account.
  • Strategize with your AE on account penetration. One meeting is a start. You are expected to take what you learn in that first meeting and help build a path to the next one.
  • Show up at events and find creative ways in. This team is event-driven and values BDRs who think beyond the sequence. If there is a better way to get in front of a CISO at a target account, bring it.
  • Contribute to a team culture where the work is understood and respected. You will have a manager who has done this job and takes your craft seriously.

Requirements

  • Experience in a BDR, SDR, or outbound sales role, ideally selling into enterprise or to technical and security buyers.
  • Comfort calling and engaging VP and C-level contacts. You do not wait for a warm intro and you do not flinch at a senior title.
  • Demonstrated ability to hit outbound activity metrics while keeping the outreach personalized and relevant, not templated and forgettable.
  • Experience working a full outbound motion: cold calls, email sequences, LinkedIn, and event follow-up.
  • Ability to work closely with AEs and think about account strategy, not just lead volume.
  • Strong written and verbal communication. You are representing Zenity in a category that is new to most buyers. Clarity and credibility matter.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity, AI, or enterprise SaaS is a plus. Curiosity about the space is required.


Interview Process

Our interview process is designed to be transparent, conversational, and focused on real-world experience.

  • Phone or Video Screen with Talent Team (30 minutes):  We'll cover the role, how we work, and what we're looking for.
  • Hiring Manager Interview (45 to 60 minutes): A real conversation about your outbound experience, how you think about pipeline, and what you've actually built.
  • Assignment: A short, practical exercise that reflects the kind of thinking this role requires. We keep it relevant and respectful of your time.
  • In-Office Meeting: You'll come into our NYC office to walk through your assignment with the hiring manager and meet a current AE or Regional Sales Director.

Compensation

The expected base salary range for this role is $105,000-110,000 OTE depending on experience, skills, and location.
